Planning permission has been granted by Winchester City Council for 11 new family homes on Bereweeke Road close to the centre of Winchester.  The new houses designed by Nigel Anderson for local developer Drew Smith, will replace a tired range of buildings whose future potential reuse as large number of bed-sits and student accommodation has long been a worry to the majority of the existing residents in the area.

Nigel Anderson commented on the planning decision, “I’m delighted that we have been successful in achieving planning permission and I am sure that once they are completed they will be a really positive contribution to the character of the area.  Indeed the volume of local support for our proposals has been gratifying as has been that of the city’s planning department and the elected councillors on the planning committee. The general reaction to and the successful outcome of our application shows the continued popularity and demand for traditionally styled new homes within the City area.”
